The Sahara Desert
- Biome: The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert on the earth. The Sahara Desert in size is as big as america. It is 9,000 sq Km large. It divines Africa into two parts- Saharan and sub-Saharan. it covers almost 11 different countries.
- Climate: The Sahara Desert's climate is a very dry subtropical climate. its winters are colder than usual for its type of desert, they are 55*F on average. In the summer it can reach up to 136* F! In august there are sometimes flash flood that give water to the areas in the desert that get less participation then the others. in the 18th century the Sahara desert was going through a slight "ice age".
- Characteristics: The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the world. it is home to a wide variety of organisms including: The dromedary camel, the addax, the Jerboa, the Venomous Deathstalker, palm trees, some grasses, and the well known Cacti. It is very flat except for the huge sand dunes. The Sahara desert has a Hot season, a cold season, and two rain seasons.
